I will be walking as I have heard ‘’ it’s impossible, you can’t do it, you are too old, too poor’ too many times. I am surrounded by negativity and defeatism all day even somedays in my home and my marriage

For as much of my adult life I have struggled with financial difficulties, I have had two failed businesses lost two flats and a car. When we could not manage the debts, we joined a Debt Review agency only for them to ‘’rob ‘’ us by not paying anything. When we tried to cancel our contract, they refused and said we must buy our way out.

I have had enough and therefore I wanted to do this to prove to the naysayers that with the power of prayer, self-belief and will power you can do anything. As a father to two amazing daughters, I want to show them that they too can do anything if they believe enough. I pondered and prayed, and I searched for the answer as to what can I do, and this is the answer I was given.

I will be walking mainly to raise funds for my wife who needs the money as NSFAS has not paid for 2022 and although she has passed her studies UNISA will not allow her to graduate until the account has been settled. We struggled these last two three years surviving the Covid pandemic and her getting retrenched with the focus being the days she completed her studies and getting a good teaching job. However here we are again stuck due to finances or rather lack of it.
